"Illuminators" Reflect...

In Illuminators  we have been talking about why we came onto this earth, and how we are effectively stealing His world. The world being His, because He made it. But we have taken the world and done what we want with something that isn’t ours. Since God made the earth, we should do what He wants and made us to do.
Stephen Charles

In Illuminators,  SALT Club 2011, semester 1, we have been learning about what God has to say to us, and with prizes of Clinkers along the way, everyone has been willing to join in. One of the things that I learnt was that God helps us know how to be good friends. We played a game where we had to lead a blindfolded person through a course of landmines.

Before Easter we learnt about why Good Friday, the day we remember when Jesus died, is good. This is because Jesus’ death on the cross was the way God dealt with our sin and
brought us forgiveness. Our memory verse that day was: "Christ died for sins, once for all the
righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us to God."  1Peter 3:18
Stewart Bedford

In Illuminators we have been memorizing memory verses. For example one verse was John 11:25-26: "I am the resurrection and the life, He who believes in Me will live even though
he dies, and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die." We have been looking up things in the Bible and of course munching Clinkers. We have been doing lots of clinkerlicious activities in Illuminators!

In Illuminators this year, we have been looking at how God made the world. It is an interesting topic to learn about: God made the world, God runs the world and the world belongs to God.
We have a memory verse on this topic: "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory, and honour and power, for you created all things and by your will they were created and have their being."  Revelation 4:11
Eloise Smith

When I think of Illuminator s, I think of Clinkers and this makes me want to remember my memory verse. One time we played a game where we were blindfolded and we had to try to walk to the other side without touching the newspapers which were like mines. It was much easier when I was guided by my partner like God guides us through life.
